NTF and the education of new valuers
To ensure that education of new valuers as well as the CPD for experienced valuers both are taken care of in the spirit of, and in harmony with, the prevailing regulations of the industry, NTF has established a subsidiary with primarily this as its business idea. This subsidiary is called Norges Eiendomsakademi (The Norwegian Real Estate Academy).
Education
 
Presently NTF’s CPD adresses the subjects such as:
  • The professional valuer
  • Valuation of residential properties
  • Valuation of comercial properties
  • Valuation for insurance purpose
  • Valuation of totally demaged properties
  • Valuation og agricultural properties
  • Controll of water exposed areas
  • Valuation of industrial machines and vehicles
  • Assessmensts for claims setlements
  • Valuation under IFRS
Norges Eiendomsakademi AS, was founded in March 2001 and is a subsidiary of Norges TakseringsForbund (The Norwegian Valuers and Surveyors Association). The Academy’s objective is to cover the need of the real estate industry in regards to education in valuation and property management.
 


Education

Studies in Valuation
Studies in Valuation, originally set up and run by NTF, have been in full activity since 1981. Our aim is to educate people in: valuation of real estate; agricultural properties; industrial machines; as well as surveying and reporting of damage and of state of repair.

Studies in Facilities Management
Studies in Facilities Management are in the process of being established. We cater to property owners’ interests by educating proficient real estate managers with economic, technical and juridical qualifications and skills.
 
Seminars and
continuing professional development
Seminars and continuing professional development (CPD), are offered to surveyors and others. We administer seminars in different areas such as water exposed rooms, reporting on non conformity, demolition reporting, the residential property market and home sellers reports. We also offer courses for valuers that need to learn about International Financial Reporting Standards and more.
